COVID-19 OFFICE PROTOCOLS
We are excited to have the opportunity to reopen and begin providing dental care to our valued patients once again. We know that proper and routine dental care is essential not only to your oral health but your overall systemic health as well.
The staff at Toby C. Petro, D.D.S. & Associates has enacted enhanced measures to protect your health and the health of those around you. We do want to emphasize that our staff will continue to strictly follow all governmental directives, and take precautions to keep both our patients and staff safe.
This includes:
- All employees and patients are required to wear masks at all times. If you do not have access to one please notify our office and we will provide one. This is a preventive measure and is not indicative of anyone having or carrying the virus. All staff members will be wearing CDC recommended PPE specific to their job duties during all patient appointments, including risk level exposure masks, face shields/head covers, disposable gowns, and gloves.
- We ask that you enter the office exactly at your scheduled appointment time to limit or prevent any nonessential contact with other patients. Appointments are limited to the patient only; unless assistance is required or patient is a minor.
- Frequent sanitation according to CDC protocol of common areas including reception and exam rooms. A hand sanitize station is provided in the foyer as you enter the office. You will again sanitize or wash your hands as you complete your appointment before heading to the check-out window.
- Advanced patient screenings including pre-appointment questionnaire, and verbal questionnaire and temperature reading upon entering the office for any patient who requires an in-office visit and/or treatment procedure.
- A pre-treatment rinse of 1.5% hydrogen peroxide to reduce bacterial and viral counts within the mouth.
- Additional reception room processes in place include, but are not limited to: Patient immediately placed in the exam or treatment room after check-in and removal of common items touched by multiple patients including seating and magazines.
Please make sure you are monitoring your health for flu-like symptoms. If you are experiencing cough, fever, and shortness of breath, please call to reschedule your appointment. If you become sick with any Covid-19 symptoms within two weeks following your appointment please notify us promptly.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment.
